At Barton & District Athletics Club, we’re proud to host a vibrant calendar of events throughout the year that bring together athletes of all ages and abilities. From our weekly Baysgarth Parkruns to Club summer league races and social runs, our events are at the heart of what we do — fostering community, encouraging progression, and celebrating a shared passion for athletics.
Whether you’re a seasoned competitor, a new member finding your stride, or a parent supporting a junior athlete, there’s something for everyone. Our events are designed to be inclusive, supportive, and fun, with opportunities to test yourself, meet others, and represent the Club against local and regional competitors.

Baysgarth Parkrun
- A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event every Saturday at 9am in Baysgarth Park. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it’s up to you!
- Join fellow club members for a weekly 5k blast or gentle jog in scenic Baysgarth Park.
- Regularly attended by club members – great for a catch-up and a coffee after!
- New to running? parkrun is the perfect way to start.

Summer League
Join us for the 2025 Summer League Series — six races held between May and October. Open to Club members and UKA-registered guests, this friendly yet competitive series offers a great mix of racing, social atmosphere, and prizes.

Deepdale Dash 10k
The Deepdale Dash is Barton & District AC’s premier 10K road race, held annually on the first Sunday in November. Starting from Baysgarth School in Barton-upon-Humber, the event features a fast, scenic course through the local countryside, making it a favourite for PB hunters and first-timers alike.
The day also includes a 2K Fun Run, perfect for younger runners and families. Expect a friendly atmosphere, great support, and the chance to grab one of the coveted Deepdale Dash hoodies!
