BADAC have a moral and legal responsibility to ensure the safeguarding and protection of children/vulnerable adults. Within athletics or running clubs ALL Club Officers and Committee Members have a responsibility to uphold the UKA and England Athletics’ welfare policies and procedures, to adhere to good practice and to respond to any suspected breaches.

Instances of behaviour, verbal or physical, which could be considered to become Child Abuse or Adult Abuse should be brought to their attention, in confidence, at the earliest opportunity. Abuse could be from parents, coaches, other athletes or anyone connected in any way with the Club. All cases or doubts should be reported immediately to a Welfare Officer.
