
Barton & District AC — Summer League 2026
Join us for the 2026 Summer League Series — six races held between April and September. Open to Club members and UKA-registered guests, this friendly yet competitive series offers a great mix of racing, social atmosphere, and prizes.
🏃 Race Format
- 6 races from April to September
- Each course is approximately 2.5 miles, 2 big loops of the park paths at Baysgarth park, starting and finishing at Baysgarth House Museum
- Race 1 is a mass start to establish handicap times
- Races 2–6 are handicapped, with staggered starts based on previous performances

Entry & Eligibility
- £5 suggested donation covers entry for all 6 races
- No fee for fully paid-up Barton & District AC members — but donations are encouraged
- Proceeds will be donated to charity (to be confirmed)
- Keep your race number for the whole series
- Guests are welcome if UKA-registered, but are not eligible for prizes
🎯 Points & Prizes
Race 1: All participants receive 60 points
Races 2–6:
1st = 100 pts, 2nd = 95, 3rd = 90, then descending by 1 point down to 60
All finishers beyond 40th place receive 60 points
💸 Prizes
Each handicapped race winner receives £20
Top 3 overall on points:
1st: £75
2nd: £50
3rd: £25
How To REGISTER
Register and collect your number before race day!
- Registration to take place 30mins before the start of each race
- Register and collect your number at Club night from:
- Alison Nettleton or Sarah Atkin
- Available before and after Thursday Club runs
- Early registration encouraged to allow prompt 18:40 starts – Especially helpful for members with children attending Club activities
