The Deepdale Dash is Barton & District AC’s premier 10K road race, held annually on the first Sunday in November. Starting from Baysgarth School in Barton-upon-Humber, the event features a fast, scenic course through the local countryside, making it a favourite for PB hunters and first-timers alike.
The day also includes a 2K Fun Run, perfect for younger runners and families. Expect a friendly atmosphere, great support, and the chance to grab one of the coveted Deepdale Dash hoodies!

The 16th running of this premier and popular North Lincolnshire 10K Road Race will start at 09:30 hrs. The undulating course has been amended to be faster and offer an exciting challenge for all runners, on partially closed roads. Starting in the bus circle at Baysgarth School and finishing via the Oak Drive School entrance.
Standard entry will Include a medal (£24 unaffiliated) with the option to purchase the much coveted Deepdale Dash hoodie at the cost price of £16.50
A Fun Run will also take place before the main event. This will be £4 payable on the day and although the Fun Run is not timed every entrant will receive a medal upon completion.

Register and receive your number before race day!
Race Numbers and chips will be posted prior to the event so there should be no need to register on the morning.
If your number hasn’t arrived, please go to the registration desk to collect a replacement.
If you have ordered a hoodie, you will be able to collect this from Race HQ (Located in the finish area) after the first finisher crosses the line, right up until the end of the event.

Parking & Getting to Race HQ
From the South Via A15 (M180, M18, M1) – Join A15 North signposted Humber Bridge at Junction 5, M180 Barnetby Top. Take the last exit before the Humber Bridge signposted for A1077. At the roundabout turn right (3rd exit) and go down long hill into Barton. Turn right at mini roundabout onto Barrow A1077, go through the Market Place and after 400 yards the Race HQ at Baysgarth School is on your right (Postcode DN18 6AE)
From the North Via Humber Bridge – Exit left onto the slip road immediately after crossing the Humber Bridge. At roundabout turn left (1st exit) and go down long hill into Barton. Turn right at mini roundabout onto Barrow A1077, go through the Market Place and after 400 yards the Race HQ at Baysgarth School is on your right (Postcode DN18 6AE).
Parking – Please use the one of the many carparks located in the town or Wren Kitchen via the Falklands Way main entrance which will be marshalled.
(Note there is no parking at the school this year and please do not park on Barrow Rd, White Cross St, Caistor Rd or Meadow Drive as this will impact on runner safety on the 10k course).

- Race cut-off: 90 minutes — roads reopen after this.
- No headphones (including bone-conducting) — This is for your own safety plus others around you due to the race having partially closed roads. Anyone caught running in headphones will be disqualified.
- No Dogs on school premises (except for guide dogs).
- Please complete your medical details on the back of your number
- Race Numbers must be worn on the front of your vest/T-shirt, securely pinned at each corner and worn as issued i.e. not cut down or folded over.
- If you decide to run with a water bottle or gel, please ensure you bring everything away with you that you take onto the course. Please don’t leave anything where we may struggle to find it and do your utmost to avoid littering – You can of course drop your water cups with volunteers on the route.
- Dress for the weather, please ensure you dress appropriately for the weather conditions and always bring a change of clothes for after the event. We hope for great weather, but foil blankets do not keep you warm and are for emergencies only! We will have a bag drop at registration. Ideally please leave your belongings in the car or with a spectator (someone you know!)

Athlete Wellbeing – If you feel unwell or injured, then it’s your responsibility to withdraw from the event. Please don’t put yourself at risk. On the course, we will have plenty of manned Marshall points, medics on course (and at the finish) plus bike marshals and a sweeper vehicle.
Adverse Weather – Please check our website on the morning of the event if you are in doubt the event will run due to adverse weather. A decision will be posted by 08:00 at the latest on race day.
