Barton & District Athletics Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all its members, ensuring that everyone has a positive and enjoyable experience.
We believe it’s important that all members, coaches, volunteers, and parents associated with the Club show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others at all times.
Our Commitment
- All members are required to sign up to the England Athletics Codes of Conduct and understand the Club’s policies and codes (listed below).
- Everyone has a responsibility to report any concerns regarding bad practice, poor behaviour, or safeguarding to a member of the Welfare Team.
- Any concerns raised will be handled sensitively in line with the UK Athletics Child Safeguarding Procedure and the Club’s Discipline and Appeals Process (BADAC07).
- Athletics is one of the most accessible sports in the UK. All children who participate are entitled to a fun and safe environment — safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone involved in the Club.
