Set against the rugged beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors, the Hardmoors 60 race took on its usual blend of steep climbs, technical descents and a total elevation gain of over 8,000 feet on Saturday 20th September. Scott Marrison was the sole representative of BADAC finishing 36th out of the 88 finishers on the day where there were nearly as many retirees as finishers.
Stephen Kirk was the quickest from Guisborough to Filey in 10 hours 55 minutes and 2 seconds, with the first female Julia Robinson just over an hour after him in 11:56:06.
The route follows the second half of the Hardmoors 110 route, along the beautiful Cleveland Coast, through Saltburn, Runswick Bay, Staithes, Whitley Bay, Robin Hoods Bay, Ravenscar, Scarborough and finishing in the East Yorkshire seaside resort of Filey.
Well done Scott, another incredible performance over 63 miles on not only a tough course but battling harsh weather conditions also.
