Ben Sadowyj is continuing his running journey representing Barton & District AC with appearances recently at the Philadelphia Distance Run on Sunday 21st September half marathon race where he finished a fabulous 15th overall and age group champion in 1:08:57.
Formed in 1978, the PDR remains a premier half marathon, the flattest half marathon course in Philly. Set on the third Sunday in September, the PDR has long been one of the great fall tune up races going into marathon season..
And marathon season it is for Ben as on Sunday 19th October, he headed to Atlantic City, the third oldest continuing marathon in the US which was established in 1958. The marathon course is noted for being fast and flat, covering ground in the cities of Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate and Longport, including 8 miles of Boardwalk running. Ben finished a magnificent 2nd overall at this event in 2:29:56 just behind Matthew Fick in 2:26:56.
