On the sunny Sunday morning of June 8th 2025, the Woodhall Spa 10K made a triumphant return to Jubilee Park, Woodhall Spa, in Lincolnshire. A race that was once again sold out well in advance, with a capacity capped at around 1,500 participants. Local and visiting runners gathered to tackle the fast, flat course renowned for its potential to set PBs!
Scenic but Swift
The route begins and ends in the beautiful Jubilee Park, a local hub offering scenic gardens, a heated outdoor pool, and even a caravan and camping spot for visitors. From there, the course winds its way through rural Lincolnshire landscapes, including Edlington Moor and rolling farmland, before looping back via the fringe of Stixwould to finish in the park.
Organisers Curly’s Athletes, in partnership with Jubilee Park, continue to make the event both competitive and welcoming. The race benefits the local community and secures the future of the event, combining professionalism -chip timing, themed medals, finish line cake – with a fun, supportive atmosphere.
Conditions & Community
Although renowned as a fast course, the day brought warm conditions and a steady breeze, which provided some welcome respite to competitors . Runners of all ages and abilities – from serious PB chasers to those completing for fun embraced the challenge, supported by enthusiastic marshals and cheering crowds along the route.
It was a LWAC (Lincoln Wellington Athletic Club) double-header for first finishers of the day
- William Strangeway clocked 30:57, dominating the men’s field
- Natalie Burns claimed the women’s crown in 36:22.
